JOB SUMMARY
The Human Resources Specialist assists with and facilitates the process with the recruitment and onboarding of new hires assigned to the business unit. This role assists the Manager in facilitating HR initiatives through the line of business. This role provides administrative support to the Manager as needed including record keeping, file maintenance and HRIS entry.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
While living and demonstrating our Core Values, the Human Resources Specialist will:
Coordinate and manage the recruiting efforts for assigned positions, including resume screening, phone interviews, scheduling of interviews, and generation of offer lettersResponsible for timely job offers; communicating outcome to all department leadersAssist employees and new hires through the HRIS system and onboarding processAssist credentialing/employee health department with documentation and verifications/tasks for compliance purposesProvide feedback and support during interview process with leadersResponsible for update/maintenance for PaylocityAttend Job Fair Events, as assignedEnsure current, signed job descriptions are on file for all employees; work with management team to draft new job descriptions for new positionsResponsible for data entry into HRIS systems for employee transactions. Ensure accuracy and compliance.Work with finance/payroll to ensure FTE allocations are accurate and individual records are maintainedIdentify and submit solutions for task management effectivenessRun reports as necessary for department projectsCoordinate exit interview process, and set up live session(s) during employees last week of employmentMaintain continuous communication with leaders regarding recruitment and onboarding effortsMaintain a visible Human Resources presence throughout company; assist employees with concerns and questionsAttend weekly Level 10 and Operations huddles and meetings to provide Human Resources presence as needed (as assigned)Backup Generalist/Manager as neededConduct routine HR file audits for complianceActively seek to improve HR processes and proceduresAssist with special department projectsFoster positive and productive relationships with all managersFoster a culture of continuous improvement using SAFE Reporting and PDSAsPerform other duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Administration or related field requiredMinimum of 1-3 years of Human Resources experience or a combination of education and experienceWorking knowledge all various employment laws are desirable. HRCI or SHRM certification a plus.Previous experience should include a minimum of one year working in a customer service-oriented environment.Work requires excellent professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.Work requires willingness to work a flexible schedule.High level of confidentiality required.Ability to work reliably, with professionalism in a high-volume, high-demand medical educational environment.Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and E-mail.Ability to work independently and with a team
