We serve patients of all ages and orthopedic conditions, from high school athletes to older adult joint replacements, and just about everything in between. OC Sports & Rehab is looking for a physical therapist assistant (PTA) to assist in the treatment of patients as directed by the physical therapist.
Duties and Responsibilities Provides treatment to patients as directed by the Physical Therapist Explains the physical therapy procedures and equipment to patients and checks for understanding Instructs patients, families, and caregivers in physical therapy interventions, modalities, and home exercise programs Documents patient care services by charting in EMR according to guidelines in a timely manner Assists with cleaning and maintenance of treatment area and practice Implement patient treatment plans with guidance from Physical Therapist Reports all changes to patient's condition to the Physical Therapist as immediacy dictates Requirements
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing Strong problem-solving skills Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information Strong computer skills Knowledgeable of state practice acts and ensures the level of supervision they receive meets standards Strong knowledge of medical terminology and physiology Education and Experience
Graduate from a Physical Therapy Assistant program Current licensure as Physical Therapy Assistant in California 1+ years of experience as a PTA, outpatient experience preferred Current CPR Certification Benefits of Working with OC Sports & Rehab
