We are looking for an energetic
Roofer
to join our team! In this role, you will cover roofs of structures with shingles, slate, wood, or other related materials, as well as perform sealing, insulating, or soundproofing processes as needed. This is primarily a commercial roofing position where we are most often on flat roofs. You are hard-working, a team player, and dedicated to performing quality work in all that you do. Past experience as a roofer is preferred and a positive attitude is a must!
Responsibilities:
Inspect problem roofs to determine the best repair proceduresRemove snow, water, or debris from roofs prior to applying roofing materialsSet up scaffolding/ladders to provide safe access to roofs (if applicable)Cover roofs with appropriate materials (shingles, slate, etc.)Cement or nail flashing strips of metal or shingle over joints to make them watertightEstimate materials and labor required to complete roofing jobsInteract professionally with customers and effectively communicate about the scope and status of workQualifications :
Past experience as a roofer preferredExperience with the use of hand-held and power toolsExperience working with all types of building materialsMust be able to climb ladders and stairs, comfortably lift 40+ pounds repetitively, and work on your feet for long periods of time
A workplace performance exam is required for this position.
Ability to work in extreme environments, e.g. hot sun, below freezing, crawl spaces, etc.
Compensation: $18.00 - $35.00 per hour
