Rochester, MNEssential Duties and ResponsibilitiesMaintains active contact with the Client/Contract Administrator and ensures compliance with all provisions of the management agreement.Assists Experience Rochester in promoting the use of the facility to maximize its utilization.Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with various stakeholders to encourage continual and regular use of the facility.Functions as the “booker” for live entertainment events, negotiating contracts and agreements.Works cooperatively with the Experience Rochester VP of Sales in the promotion and contracting of non-live entertainment events.Coordinates, implements, and administers specific plans and programs prescribed by ASM Global corporate directives.Develops and implements facility goals in accordance with the management contract and ASM Global corporate policy.Prepares and maintains necessary reports/records for the Client/Contract Administrator and ASM Global.Plans, organizes, coordinates, and directs all activities and personnel engaged in maintaining and operating the facility.Works with Experience Rochester to develop the annual operating calendar and projections for attendance and revenue.Directs, supervises, and ensures effective development of the annual operating and capital budgets.Provides for control of day-to-day operations and conducts post-event operational and financial reviews.Reviews and approves agreements with suppliers, promoters, and tenants.Ensures timely and effective response to directives and requests from internal and external organizations.Assures administration of personnel and operations in compliance with applicable regulations.Evaluates facility practices and recommends improvements for efficiency and safety.Responsible for recruiting, training, supervising, and evaluating staff.Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with tenants, employees, and the public.Other duties as assigned.Supervisory ResponsibilitiesSupervises all senior staff at the location.Maintains effective working relationships with all stakeholders.QualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.Education and/or ExperienceA bachelor’s degree in business or public administration and a minimum of 5 years of industry experience in a senior management position.Experience in labor relations and union contracts is preferred.Skills and AbilitiesExcellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to maintain confidentiality and work with various interest groups.Demonstrated knowledge of successful management of entertainment or convention facilities.Ability to anticipate problems and implement corrective actions.Strong orientation towards hospitality and customer service.Knowledge of safety regulations and relevant laws.Effective supervisory skills and ability to deal with human resource issues.Knowledge of contract negotiations and event planning.Ability to work flexible hours as needed.Computer SkillsKnowledge of MS Office is required.Physical DemandsRegularly required to move around the facility; stand for long hours; work inside or outside as needed.NOTE:
