Senior Cost Estimator

to join our team, on a hybrid status, between the Washington, DC Navy Yard and home office. The ideal candidate will:Provide cost related analysis and assessments of ships, submarines, and related ship systems.Provide technical expertise, perform parametric tradeoff studies, and assess cost estimates.Be proficient with using modern computational tools and spreadsheets to conduct cost assessments: Typical tools include the USN’s Visibility and Management of Operating Costs (VAMOSC) databases and Operating and Support Cost Analysis Model (OSCAM) suite of cost models for a variety of Operations and Support (O&M) costing tasks.Required Education, Skills, and Experience:Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering or related field.5-10 years' experience developing production planning documents and estimates for work executed on US Navy, US Coast Guard, Army, or MSC Ships.Certified estimator by the International Cost Estimating & Analysis Association (ICEAA).Requires knowledge of Hull and Ship Systems with a well-rounded overall understanding of new shipbuilding, ship repair and modernization with trade disciplines required to support estimates and work item development.Knowledge and familiarity with NAVSEA Standard Items, CAD plans is required.Must have zero-based estimating experience.Adept knowledge and understanding of the ship construction and estimating requirements, U.S. Navy surface ship construction and modernization planning processes.Must have advanced MS Excel skills creating formulas and setting up custom sheets for customers. Modeling experience a plus.Active DoD Secret Clearance Required.
