Network Administrator

ResponsibilitiesProvide high level technical expertise to support the network operations team in all activities.Provide technical assistance, training and mentoring to junior level administrators.Provide high quality internal and external customer service surrounding the company values.Design, implement and support of LAN, WAN, Switching/Routing, Data Center infrastructure including Cisco ACI, Next-Gen firewalls (Ideally Palo Alto) including IPS, DDoS infrastructure, etc.Ensures all network infrastructure engineering patterns are appropriately designed to meet our SLA requirements.Responsible for writing and reviewing change requests as a part of the change management process.Provide recommendations for improving overall network performance.Participation in the documentation processes including network diagrams, staff contacts, vendor contacts, utilization of monitoring/resource/inventory management tools.Collaborates with managers to develop standards in line with the company guidelines and monitoring those standards.Assisting with the resolution of escalated issues and actively participating in problem management activities.As a member of the network & security operations team participate in an on-call support rotation to ensure 24x7x365 coverage for critical core and customer infrastructure.Overtime in the event of emergencies is required.Required SkillsDegree or Diploma in Networking or Technology.10+ years experience in IP-based large environment strongly preferred.Strong hands-on experience with Cisco network hardware, software, LAN/WAN and Data Center infrastructures and connectivity.Demonstrated in-depth understanding of the TCP/IP protocol, specifically relating to the routing of IP packets (BGP, EIGRP, MPLS).Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment, in an organized, methodical, and pleasant manner.Ability to take ownership and co-ordinate resolution of network related problems.Provide expert technology platform support of change control process including impact analysis, method of procedure review, implementation, and verification.Outstanding analytical and methodical troubleshooting skills.Effective oral and written communication skills.Customer service focused and portrayed energy, professionalism, and welcoming characteristics.Ability to meet deadlines and handle sensitive and pressured situations.Ability to identify issues and help develop strategy and tactical plans for various department initiatives.Ability to prioritize and organize effectively.Excellent analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities.Excellent documentation and communication skills.Expert level knowledge of network administration, architecture, and engineering in mission critical environments.AssetsNetworking and Security certifications.Knowledge of a wide variety of network security equipment and technologies including but not limited to; firewalls (Cisco ASA, Palo Alto), IPS, DDoS mitigation, etc.Experience with Cisco ISE, automation (like Ansible).Bilingual (French and English).
