Consultant – Business Analyst, Risk Data Analytics

We are looking for a Business Analytics Consultant to work on Business Intelligence and Analytical solutions for users in the Financial Risk area. The consultant should have a background in financial risk management, data management, and business analysis. You will work directly with business users, project managers and IT to develop data management, analytics and visualization tools that will help them visualize their data, discover and share insights, and ultimately make better decisions. In this role you will have the opportunity to learn about multiple businesses within the Capital Markets industry and work directly with senior managers and SMEs in the Financial Risk area (Credit Risk) on building Analytics to support their projects and day-to-day business needs.ResponsibilitiesTranslate business needs to technical specificationsGather requirements, analyze data and create proof of conceptsDesign functional specifications for BI dashboards and reportsConnect to and transform data with advanced data preparation capabilitiesArchitect, design and develop end-to-end business analytics solutions, interactive data visualizations, and dashboards based on the Microsoft Power BI platformDocument, design, build and deploy BI modelsDevelop tabular and multidimensional modelsDevelop, publish and schedule Power BI/Tableau visual reports, dashboards and KPI scorecards using Power BI desktop per business needs/requirementsEvaluate and improve existing BI systemsCollaborate with teams to integrate data from multiple systemsDevelop and execute database queries and conduct analysesDevelop and update technical documentationCraft and execute ad hoc queriesRequirements / PreferencesStrong experience as a Business AnalystAdvanced degree (Bachelor’s, etc.) in computer science or related field preferredExperience in end-to-end BI project lifecycle (requirements, design, testing, deployment, and training)Experience with tools such as Power BI and TableauComprehensive knowledge of Capital Markets instruments and business processesKnowledge of Financial Risk concepts and previous exposure to a range of regulatory frameworks such as BASEL II, BASEL III and Dodd-Frank reformExpertise in using advance level calculations/measures on the data setBackground in data warehouse design and data mining and ETL toolsShould have knowledge and skills for secondary tools such as SQL queries and Python.Salary: $90,000-160,000/year
