Responsibilities
Fraud Detection: Employ advanced analytics to detect and prevent fraudulent activities on our platform.
Risk Assessment: Conduct thorough data investigations assessments to identify vulnerabilities and recommend mitigation models and strategies.
Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze large datasets to extract actionable insights on fraud trends and risk factors. Create reports and dashboards for risk team self-service.
Collaboration: Work cross-functionally to enhance fraud detection capabilities and streamline processes.
Innovation: Stay updated on industry developments and data technologies and suggest enhancements to our risk management framework.
Education
You are expected to have a BSc or MSc Degree in a Statistics, Maths or Science based subject.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Business Analytics, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
4+ years of experience in data analysis, preferably within the fraud prevention area, ideally in ecommerce credit card or financial services sectors.
Strong analytical skills with proficiency in SQL and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI).
Skilled in data analytics using Python.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex data findings to a non-technical audience.
Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for continuous improvement.
Additional Requirements (if applicable)
Some knowledge of reporting tools, Tableau / MicroStrategy / Power BI or similar.
Advanced use of Microsoft Office especially Excel and PowerPoint.
Curious in nature.
Good verbal reasoning skills.
Articulate and confident when presenting the output of your work.
Highly data and statistical driven.
CompensationThe annual salary range for this position is $94,640 to $126,187. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for participation in a performance-based bonus plan.
Gaming Compliance & Licensing RequirementsAs an online gaming company, BetMGM is required to comply with state gaming regulations which includes licensing obligations. Applicable employees must be licensed by at least one jurisdictional agency, although certain positions require licensing by multiple agencies. Failure to become licensed or maintain licensure with each agency as required for the role may result in termination of employment. Please note that the licensing process includes comprehensive background checks which may include a review of criminal records, financial history, and personal background verification.
In addition, candidates must comply with and support the company's responsible gambling policies, procedures and initiatives.
