Your future starts now.The Retirement Plan Counselor helps individuals using Empower as their retirement provider through their employer build a healthy retirement and plan their financial future. This role uses strategic thinking to achieve business results and lead impactful conversations while meeting service level agreements.This Retirement Plan Counselor will work with public employees in Anchorage, AK with occasional travel to Juneau, AK. The Counselor will work in person and virtually with employees and MUST BE BASED in this territory.What you will doDevelop strategic relationships with site contacts within their assigned territoryMeet with participants virtually and conduct webinars in addition to meeting with them in person on topics such as: features and benefits of the employer sponsored Defined Contribution (DC) retirement plan(s) and retirement readinessWork closely with internal business partners delivering increased client valueAct as the "voice of the customer" by relaying important client feedback obtained during on-site visits to the appropriate Retirement Services area (e.g., Marketing, Sales, Client services, Transition Team)What you will bringMinimum 3 - 5 years financial services/retirement experienceSatisfy service level agreements for the plan as well as achieve business resultsPossess a comprehensive knowledge of mutual funds/separate accounts, with an understanding of the risk/reward trade off for all securitiesFINRA Series 6 & 63 licenses requiredWhat will set you apartBe well versed in Deferred Compensation and Defined Contribution Plans as well as retirement planning conceptsStrong presentation skillsHave experience with a consultative needs-based approach helping people plan for retirementAbility to work independently; results-orientedWhat we offer youMedical, dental, vision and life insuranceRetirement savings - 401(k) plan with generous company matching contributions (up to 6%), financial advisory services, potential company discretionary contribution, and a broad investment lineupTuition reimbursement up to $5,250/yearBusiness-casual environment that includes the option to wear jeansGenerous paid time off upon hire - including a paid time off program plus ten paid company holidays and three floating holidays each calendar yearPaid volunteer time - 16 hours per calendar yearLeave of absence programs - including paid parental leave, paid short- and long-term disability, and Family and Medical Leave (FMLA)Business Resource Groups (BRGs) - internal networks that rally around common interest, experiences and identities such as race, ethnicity, gender, ability, military status and sexual orientation.Base Salary Range$63,100.00 - $89,125.00The salary range above shows the typical minimum to maximum base salary range for this position in the location listed. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance.
