D.A. Davidson & Co. is accepting applicants for Associate Year 1 and 2 positions in the Technology Investment Banking Group. The Associate will play a vital role working with senior bankers on strategic assignments, assisting clients with mergers and acquisitions, public offerings, private placements and other advisory services.Associates start on a four-year program with a deep dive into their industry of focus, receive mentorship and sales and public speaking training. Associates are encouraged to assist in recruiting, college outreach, cultural initiatives and ongoing analyst training.Qualifications:
3 years minimum professional experience working in investment banking, private equity, corporate development, etc. is requiredBachelor’s degree, but an MBA is not requiredHighly motivated, confident, professional, and coachableProficiency with Capital IQ, PitchBook or Tableau is a plusAdvanced knowledge of business software (especially Word, Excel and PowerPoint)Strong knowledge of financial modeling, corporate finance and accountingExcellent verbal and written communications skills including business writingAble to handle multiple projects with competing prioritiesStrong work ethic and team oriented approachGood judgment in confidential situations and ability to exercise discretionHigh degree of comfort and confidence interacting with senior executivesAbility to train and provide mentorship to analysts and internsFlexibility to work long hours, nights, and weekends, as neededSecurities Industry Essentials Exam, Series 79 (Series 7 may be applicable) and 63 licenses strongly preferred but not required. Work closely with senior bankers to support business development, sourcing and execution of transactionsActively participate in live deals, such as M&A, capital offerings and strategic advisorySupervise investment banking analysts, including mentoring and oversight of the work productTake the lead for developing important technical analysis and presentationsCreate marketing materialsCommunicate and interact with clients in executing transactionsTravel is required (i.e. client meetings, conferences, etc.)Participate in recruiting efforts$160,000 - $190,000 a year
The potential pay range for this role is $160,000 - $190,000. This is a salaried, exempt position. The compensation offered will be determined on a case-by-case basis considering a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the skills, relevant work experience, and geographic location of each specific candidate. This range does not include potential bonus compensation.
