The Ingram School of Engineering seeks to develop a pool of candidates for postdoctoral scholar (post-doc) positions in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering. A post-doc is a professional appointment designed to provide recent doctoral degree recipients with an opportunity to gain experiences and skills that will advance their careers. A post-doc works under the supervision and sponsorship of a regular faculty member, who serves as a mentor to the post-doc, and it is expected that the faculty sponsor will provide an orientation and development plan for the post-doc, impart the realities and variety of careers available to the post-doc, and encourage learning opportunities to broaden the post-doc’s aspirations and experiences.The appointment involves substantial and full-time commitment to research, scholarship, teaching, or other professional activities. Eligibility for annual reappointment is contingent upon satisfactory annual performance evaluations during the term period, in addition to continuity of funding and departmental/school need.This posting is for March 2024 – August 2024 hires. Please note that this posting is not intended to convey that such a need currently exists. Applicants applying for a pool faculty position will be available to the departmental search committee for consideration in case the need arises.Required Qualifications:
Recently awarded a Ph.D. or equivalent doctorate (e.g., D.Sc., M.D.).Preferred Qualifications:
