Reporting directly to the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO), the Director Regional Sales will be responsible for the sales of FranklinWH battery storage products nationally, working through and leading a team of Regional Sales Managers. This will require a full understanding of home battery storage applications. A successful candidate will be familiar with existing and evolving solar policy to identify and track compelling markets for sales.The Director Regional Sales is accountable for building an effective sales organization, including long-term relationships with target customers and partners in a way that secures ongoing order conversion and profitable revenue that meet or exceed Profit Plan year over year. The individual must have a balanced blend of team building and management, as well as direct sales experience and coaching capabilities. Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, start-up environment.For the successful candidate, this is an opportunity to become a major contributor to FranklinWH’s early growth in the North American market.Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be comfortable working within a fast-paced US organization. Primary responsibilities of the Director Regional Sales include:Lead, mentor, and scale a high-performing sales team, including recruiting, training, and performance management.Develop an understanding of competing energy storage technologies and use this knowledge to inform clients of FranklinWH’s competitive advantages and value propositions.Champion values selling processes and practices to maximize selling effectiveness and the customer experience.In conjunction with FranklinWH’s Sales Management, develop strategic sales plans to include target accounts, order intake and sales forecasts.Guide and sometimes lead market research activities to quantify market size and opportunity, competitive landscape, relevant segments & sub segments, appropriate direction/priority, trends & megatrends, industry-related pain points, value proposition development, values and appropriate messaging, product and portfolio related needs/gaps, strategic pricing, etc.Continuously leverage and improve CRM system to build effective strategic account plans and track sales team interactions and progress toward order conversion.Develop an understanding of energy storage systems, their major components, interfaces, and typical applications.Qualifications And Experience
Personal Characteristics:Professional, highly motivated individual with a strong results-oriented work ethic.A strong team player who thrives in a role that requires significant personal contributions and depends on the successful collaboration between support teams.An ability to identify and implement short-term tactics to secure immediate business opportunities while developing and executing a successful long-term strategic business plan.Must possess superior organizational and planning skills, ensuring seamless execution and management of multiple tasks and deadlines.Capable of establishing relationships with third parties at C-level, program management.Comfortable working beyond normal office hours as required to meet customer expectations; an ability to travel extensively (up to 70%).Qualifications and Experience:Minimum of 10 years of work experience in a technical equipment sales role or equivalent.Excellent organizational and time management skills with minimal supervision.Proven track record of sales management success and achieving revenue growth, preferably in the energy industry. Experience in sales of energy storage systems or related capital equipment and/or services is highly desirable but not required.Excellent communication skills; verbal, written, and presentation format.A bachelor’s degree; Post Graduate degree is highly desirable but not required.FranklinWH offers a competitive salary plus fully comprehensive benefits and a performance bonus package based on an annual objective achievement.
