Your JobGeorgia-Pacific is now hiring a Learning & Development Capability Leader to support our team in Toledo, Oregon!Our TeamThis position will design, develop, and implement training for various mill departments and areas as well as perform analyses to support a systematic approach to the training process. This position will work closely with the areas to develop and maintain a task list and partner with the various departments to ensure that training is utilized to help the mill achieve its vision. Our culture is defined by the Principle-Based Management philosophy which guides everyday decision making and provides employees with opportunities to contribute and personally benefit from the value they create.What You Will DoDesign, develop, implement, and maintain training materials used for mill training programs (this will include but is not limited to: written procedures; video procedures; troubleshooting guidelines; ID Locates for equipment; safety training, etc.)Execute training in various environments to ensure mill staff is trained and qualified as requiredAssist in developing and maintaining an effective training program that supports the vision of the millMaintain mill training documentation and qualification guides for maintenance employees from various departmentsConduct training needs, job, and task analyses as well as performance analyses when requiredConduct training program reviews, research, and assessment as requested by supervisionPerform other job-related duties as assigned by supervisionPrioritize work and support others to ensure deadlines and predetermined schedules are metUtilize vendors, contractors, and other employees to make decisions and when necessary, take on lead roles to ensure in accordance with PBM frameworkBe a self-starter and hold self-accountable for commitments and resultsDevelop and maintain new hire training guidelines and evaluation schedulesWork with the hourly employees to ensure that all employee's training needs are being met and coordinate any required trainingWork with project teams to ensure maintenance/E&I employees are properly trained for all incoming mill projectsFollow up on any L&D related issues that may have caused or prolonged equipment downtimeWho You Are (Basic Qualifications)Experience in building learning materials to support customer performanceKnowledge of operating procedure construction and executionWorking knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPointWhat Will Put You AheadExperience in implementing a task-based training programExperience in implementing ADDIE and (SAT) systematic approach to trainingExperience in reading technical drawings/schematics. Skillset will be utilized to help perform analyses and develop training materialsExperience in training program documentation and records management.Five years previous Operations or Maintenance experienceTwo years may be fulfilled by academic or technical trainingExperience creating/maintaining training programs within an industrial environmentAt Koch companies, we are entrepreneurs.
