This position will design, develop, and implement training for various mill departments and areas as well as perform analyses to support a systematic approach to the training process. This position will work closely with the areas to develop and maintain a task list and partner with the various departments to ensure that training is utilized to help the mill achieve its vision. What You Will Do

Design, develop, implement, and maintain training materials used for mill training programs (this will include but is not limited to: written procedures; video procedures; troubleshooting guidelines; ID Locates for equipment; safety training, etc.)

Execute training in various environments to ensure mill staff is trained and qualified as required

Assist in developing and maintaining an effective training program that supports the vision of the mill

Maintain mill training documentation and qualification guides for maintenance employees from various departments

Conduct training needs, job, and task analyses as well as performance analyses when required

Conduct training program reviews, research, and assessment as requested by supervision

Perform other job-related duties as assigned by supervision

Prioritize work and support others to ensure deadlines and predetermined schedules are met

Utilize vendors, contractors, and other employees to make decisions and when necessary, take on lead roles to ensure in accordance with PBM framework

Be a self-starter and hold self-accountable for commitments and results

Develop and maintain new hire training guidelines and evaluation schedules

Work with the hourly employees to ensure that all employee's training needs are being met and coordinate any required training

Work with project teams to ensure maintenance/E&I employees are properly trained for all incoming mill projects

Follow up on any L&D related issues that may have caused or prolonged equipment downtime

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

Experience in building learning materials to support customer performance

Knowledge of operating procedure construction and execution

Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

What Will Put You Ahead

Experience in implementing a task-based training program

Experience in implementing ADDIE and (SAT) systematic approach to training

Experience in reading technical drawings/schematics. Skillset will be utilized to help perform analyses and develop training materials

Experience in training program documentation and records management.

Five years previous Operations or Maintenance experience

Two years may be fulfilled by academic or technical training

Experience creating/maintaining training programs within an industrial environment
