Teaching assignments will have a start date of August 2024, and will require a 40% teaching, 40% research, and 20% service load. The incumbent will be accountable for teaching courses related to music production, digital audio, live sound, surround sound, music synthesis, music technology, and audio for post-production, as well as any additional music courses required by the MEIS Department.Examples of Work Performed:Teaching (40%):

Teach a 2/3 course load (15 total credit hours per academic year) in areas of recording arts. Prepare course content, syllabi, lectures, presentations, and student assignments; evaluate student work; track attendance and engagement; provide student advisement and manage courses in the online platform Canvas.Research (40%):

Engage in professional and academic community through publications, recordings, performances, and professional development.Service (20%):

Contribute to the function and operations of the department, represent the university in various committees, and attend MEIS and College of Arts & Media meetings.This position will align with CU Denver Strategic Plan 2030 by embracing and advancing equity through research, creative work, and teaching.Minimum Qualifications:Master’s degree in Music Production, Recording Arts, Audio Engineering/Post-production or related field.At least three years teaching experience at the college or professionally comparable level.National and/or international professional/industry experience in the field of Recording Arts.Record of scholarly and/or creative work, and ability to provide proof of portfolio.Experience that shows diversity, equity, and inclusivity practices in teaching and/or creative work.Conditions of Employment:Must be willing to pass a national criminal and sex offender background check.Must maintain a regular on-campus presence.Application Deadline:
