In 2022, CoinFlip launched CoinFlip Ventures, an investment group offering coaching, funding, and networking support to early-stage crypto and web3 projects.We’re seeking a Senior Accountant responsible for assisting in all areas related to the cryptocurrency accounting process, including domestic and international regions. This position will be responsible for booking the monthly journal entries, preparing rollforwards, developing controls and improving processes, consolidating international entities, and assisting in researching and resolving complex accounting issues as they arise. The Senior Accountant will also collaborate with various teams across the organization such as the Operations, FP&A, and Data Analytics Teams.Responsibilities:

Preparation of general ledger account reconciliations to ensure completeness and accuracy of source dataEnter data into NetSuite via journal entry or other transaction types as necessaryAssist Controller and Assistant Controller in preparation of financial statements and other internal reporting on a monthly basisAnalyze and document revenue recognition of new business lines under ASC 606Collaborating with the international operations team to implement accounting and finance practices in new marketsCoordinating with international CPAs to complete month end close for foreign entitiesObtain and analyze data from multiple sources to consolidate, develop into schedules that will be used as support documents for the month-end close processDesign and implement international due to / due from intercompany accounting schedules for reconciliation and eliminationUtilize data visualization and business intelligence tools to make processes more efficientDocumenting internal controls and processes for accurate and timely financial reportingCollaborating with Accounting & Finance and various other departments on a daily basisOther duties as assigned by ControllerQualifications:

CPA licensed, preferred (not a requirement)Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field4+ years of industry or public accounting experienceHighly proficient in Microsoft Office with a working knowledge of Tableau and ERP Systems (NetSuite is ideal)Fundamental understanding of cryptocurrency/blockchainIntellectually curious, demonstrated ability to improve and implement processes to maximize efficiencyMust be authorized to work in the U.S. on a permanent basis without requiring sponsorshipAbility to work in our Chicago office at least three days a weekNice to Have:
