ABOUT THE ROLEThe Production Supervisor will be involved in the end-to-end design, manufacturing, and installation of Airborne Role Equipment to meet the specific needs of the client. The Production Supervisor will work with the Engineering team and will also require involvement in project management, concept development, design for manufacturability, airworthiness compliance and through-life technical support.Duties may include, but are not limited to:Workshop supervision, to include management of technicians and maintenance of equipment and facilities.Coordination of manufacturing tasks and associated production paperwork.Develop and maintain close working relationships with both the design engineers, workshop technicians and maintenance personnel.Foster good supplier relationships, including the establishment and re-currency of supplier approval.Coordinating procurement of components from external suppliers.Creation and monitoring of project schedules and chasing progress.Continuous improvement of the Production Management System and Civil Aviation Safety Authority approved Production Manual.Coordinating and/or conducting conformity inspections of manufactured components/products.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Demonstrated experience in a production environment.Experience in the manufacture of products which include the integration of electrical/electronic systems.Experience with the use of modern CAD tools.An ability to understand and work to aviation regulations (or similar requirements from another industry).An ability to travel domestically or internationally when required by the project.The ability to obtain and maintain an Australian Government Negative Vetting 1 Security Clearance.Applications will not be assessed until the closing date for this role.
