Project Management Director

to join our team and is responsible for successfully planning, controlling and managing project deliverables by collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure that customer needs are met and corporate targets are achieved. This role serves as the primary point of contact between all stakeholders during the project phase and oversees all activities throughout the initiation, planning, execution, testing, and customer acceptance phases of the project. This may include, but is not limited to: Project kick-off, risk identification, risk mitigation, development monitoring and maintaining project schedules, providing status updates to both the customer and management, project team management, project budget management, as well as tracking and facilitating issues to resolution. This is a

hybrid

opportunity at our corporate office in Brentwood, TN! Lead and manage multiple projects simultaneously, from initiation to closure, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards. Lead cross functional project team to deliver key milestones and activities; communicate program details, risks, and mitigations. Develop and implement project plans, including scope, goals, deliverables, resources, budget, and timelines. Develop, update, and actively manage a comprehensive project plan, including tasks, start and end dates, work effort, resource assignments, milestones, and critical path. Identify and manage project and program-level risks and issues via documented project/program risk and issue processes. Proactively measure the identified risks to the project and in conjunction with the project team and customer, produce plans to eliminate or reduce the identified risk(s). Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, define project scope, and ensure alignment with business goals. Review scope changes and change orders to ensure that they are valid and include proper justification. Coordinate and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to drive project progress and resolve issues. Manage, maintain, and communicate regular project status reports/metrics on the health and project progress highlighting issues as necessary to the Management team. Chair, facilitate and coordinate project meetings; prepare clear, sufficiently detailed minutes. Ensure regular and meaningful project communications, including dashboards, reports and metrics, to enable timely information and analyses for executive leaders. Manage project budgets, resources, and timelines effectively to optimize project delivery and ensure profitability. Conduct post-project evaluations to assess project success, identify lessons learned, and implement improvements for future projects. Mentor Project Managers & Project Coordinators within the organization. Accountable for the successful completion of a project’s deliverables. Create and monitor KPI’s to ensure continuous improvement. Actively practice and participate in necessary Lean activities when applicable. Assure quality assurance and ensure projects and/or programs meet all audit expectations. Live the SpecialtyCare Values – Integrity, Teamwork, Care & Improvement. Perform other duties as assigned. Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, information technology, or project management. Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification is highly desirable. LEAN and/or Six Sigma certifications, preferred. Experience: 10-15+ years managing medium and large-scale complex projects or programs. Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire cross-functional teams. Experience leading large scale projects and/or programs, preferred. Prior experience analyzing project data and statistics using business applications, preferred. Experience within or alongside the Health Insurance, Payer or Healthcare Provider, preferred. Equivalent combination of education and experience, acceptable. Knowledge and Skills: Demonstrated ability being detailed oriented with the ability to self-motivate and follow-through on projects, independently. Good problem-solving skills; define/understand the problem, identify constraints, work towards the best possible solution. Solid understanding of project management methodologies (agile and waterfall), tools (MS Project Center / Online), and best practices. Ability to analyze data, make informed decisions, and solve challenges effectively. Proven experience in project management and project management methodologies of large projects (under $5 Mil). Strong PC aptitude and skills, with Microsoft products such as: Office and MS Project. Must have excellent analytical and communications skills and be able to work in a fast-paced, team environment. Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of Project Management tools and practices. Strong emphasis as a team player that thrives in a cooperative team environment and presents themselves in a polished professional manner. Able to analyze risks in defect reporting, change of workflow requests or management defects. Successfully executed at least one implementation end-to-end on time, within budget. Demonstrated working knowledge of integrations, data, sprint planning, QA preparedness, and agile methodologies. Excellent negotiation, and conflict resolution skills. Expert in value stream mapping, root cause analysis, change management and project management. Ability to show consideration for and maintain good relations with others.
