to join our team at Commander Naval Air Force Pacific (CNAP) offices in

North Island, San Diego, CA.Summary:The Aircraft Carrier Maintenance Logistic Support Program Team supports Commander Naval Air Force Pacific (CNAP) in conducting training and executing various shipboard assessments of the Maintenance Support Centers (MSC), Maintenance Data System (MDS), Aviation Systems Maintenance and Material Readiness (ASMMR) Programs for Aircraft Launch and Recovery Equipment and Aviation Fuels Equipment. It also provides Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) for all Carriers and future Nuclear Aircraft Carrier (CVN) systems that are transitioning due to modernization, including Model based Product Support and Ford Class logistics support.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:The primary responsibility is to perform the duties as the CNAP Ship System Analyst for CVN Aviation Fuel Equipment and all associated equipment in relation to CVN Engineering and Reactor Equipment.Provide ILS and configuration assistance, including research, analysis, and onsite equipment validation in support of CNAP staff and CVN personnel.Assist in reviewing, locating, and shipping parts for daily Feedback Report reports.Conduct research to support the identification and resolution of ILS elements, including parts searches and Equipment Configuration training needed to support shipboard systems.Assist in conducting 3M maintenance and material 3M Assist, 3M Inspections and Configuration validation efforts.Provide management support and oversight of the Aviation Fuels allowances, and oversight of the CVN Forward Deployed Naval Forces (FDNF) material lists.Conduct AVFUES ILS tracking and assist in processing of deliverables associated with Alteration Installation Teams (AIT) and shipboard modernization.Assist in the resolution of ILS deficiencies and support of the CNAP Carrier Maintenance Support Centers, Naval Tactical Command Support Systems (Example: NTCSS OMMS and RSUPPLY) and Maintenance Figure of Merit (MFOM), Maintain an up-to-date listing of Pacific Fleet Carrier AVFUELS Logistic Support, ISEA and CAFSU Rep contacts.Provide continuous support to deployed forces to assist in AVFUELS ILS problems during underway operations when needed and assist in MSC processes and programs that support the Pacific Fleet CVNs.Minimum Qualifications:Must be a prior Aviation Fuels Maintenance Officer/CPO, or Aviation Fuels Boatswains Mate on a CVN and achieved the rank of a Second-Class Petty Officer (rank E-5 or above).Minimum of six (6) years of CVN Aviation Fuels equipment experience.Experience with the operation and maintenance associated with CVN Aviation Fuels Systems.Must have Work Center Supervisor experience with Organized Maintenance Management System Next Generation (OMMS-NG) Maintenance Reporting Program and material ordering for AVFUELS Parts.Experience with Allowance Parts List (APL) and Allowance Equipage List (AEL) data to resolve CASEREPS and Assist AVFUELS Maintenance Officers in part ordering issues.Must have passport for Foreign Travel.Must have the ability to work onboard CNAP aircraft carriers, including capacity to travel overseas and go underway for extended periods, as required, to include meeting CVNs in foreign ports or flying out via Aircraft at sea.Must be able to Travel up to 20%, CONUS and OCONUS at a moment’s notice to support Carriers in their homeport and when they are deployed.Preferred Qualifications:Experience assisting the TYCOM N433 AVFUELS Officer and the AVFUELS CAFSU Rep during the AVFUELS Certification Inspection following a Carrier Availability and before scheduled deployments to assist with Training, parts issues, Identifying Equipment Configuration errors and assist V-4 Supply with ordering parts for the discrepancies found.Experience as a Master Training Special qualification is a plus, but not required.Must be able to speak in front of large groups, Navy Staff Personnel and teach CVN Shipboard OMMS-NG or newer program to shipboard sailors and conduct briefings with TYCOM and CVN Chain of Command.Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point documents.Experience as a classroom instructor to teach OMMS-NG and Logistic Support course material to sailors and CNAP Staff.Experience reading, understanding, and applying NAVSEA Drawings and NAVSEA Technical Manuals to resolve complex ILS and equipment configuration issues to all shipboard systems.Clearance Requirements:Must be a US Citizen and hold a US Secret Clearance.Physical Requirements:Must be capable of accessing all Aviation Fuel equipment spaces on CVNs to conduct on-site equipment validations support of an Equipment Validation following a modernization install such as a Ship Alteration or a Mechanical Alteration to the AVFUELS System or Engineering System.Must be able to lift objects over 50lbs.Able to climb ship ladders, access trunks to the 7th deck or below and crawl through hatches aboard ship.Must be able to work in a hot or cold environment and near radioactive equipment to validate Engineering and Reactor Equipment.
