The Assistant Professor (Academic Year) classification salary range is $71,100 - $151,128/per year. The anticipated hiring range is $133,000 to $137,000/per year. Salary offered is commensurate with qualifications and experience.Application Deadline:

Position opened until filled (or recruitment canceled).The Department of Marketing in the College of Business at California State University, Long Beach (CSULB) invites applications for the tenure track Assistant Professor position to start in Fall 2025. This position is targeted toward theoretical and empirical modeling, with specialization in pricing, marketing analytics, machine learning, AI in marketing communication, and other quantitative marketing areas.Required Qualifications:Ph.D. or DBA in Marketing or a closely related field. Degree at time of application or official notification of completion of the doctoral degree by August 1, 2025.Demonstrated potential for effectiveness and excellence in teaching quantitative marketing courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels.Demonstrated potential for research, scholarly and creative activities in theoretical modeling or empirical modeling leading to publications.Demonstrated commitment to working successfully with a diverse student population, including Black/African American, Latine/x, Native American/Indigenous, low-income, first-generation, and minoritized students.Preferred Qualifications:Expertise in pricing, marketing analytics, machine learning, AI in marketing communications, and other quantitative marketing areas.Peer-reviewed articles published or under review in high quality Marketing academic journals.Evidence of effective teaching experience in Marketing or a closely related field at the college level.Experience in program and curriculum development.Experience of successfully working with a diverse student body including students of color, students with disabilities, students who are first-generation college students, students who are veterans, students from diverse socio-economic backgrounds, and students of diverse sexual orientations and gender expressions.Experience mentoring or supporting students with minoritized identities or experience using inclusive and culturally relevant teaching strategies in a diverse classroom.Duties:Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in various areas of Marketing [Mode of instruction may include in-person, hybrid, online, and/or any combination thereof].Engage in research, scholarly and creative activities leading to publications and presentations in Marketing and related fields.Participate in curriculum and program development and keep content current in various areas of Marketing.Participate in service at the department, college, university and community service activities.CSULB seeks to recruit faculty who enthusiastically support the University’s strong commitment to the academic success of all of our students, including students of color, students with disabilities, students who are first generation to college, veterans, students from diverse socio-economic backgrounds, and students of diverse sexual orientations and gender expressions.About the College of BusinessThe College of Business is a leading, dynamic urban college serving Orange County and south Los Angeles County.
