Senior Manager, Digital and Analog Mixed Signal IC Design

to be responsible for leading the product development roadmap, architecture, development, documentation, and evaluation of mixed signal sensor solutions with best-in-class performance.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Recruit, mentor, develop and manage a high-functioning team of Digital and Analog mixed-signal IC design engineers.Collaborate with stakeholders to achieve technical objectives.Communicate effectively with designers and flow down the technical design requirements to the team.Drive innovation in mixed-signal IC design and identify opportunities for new product development, improving design efficiency through IP reuse, design of new IP with reuse in mind and implementation of design methodologies that use our tools efficiently.Conduct design reviews to document and show that the requirements are met, and any necessary waivers are approved.Follow, maintain, and continuously work on improving the design processes, based on lessons learned.Plan the team’s workload, resources, and budget for current and projected design tasks.Manage the execution according to plan.Qualifications:MSEE/PhD and 10+ years’ experience in managing Digital and Analog Mixed Signal design teams.Strong background with CMOS semiconductor IC design including performing full custom analog IC layout.Thorough understanding of deep sub-micron layout design practices such as parasitic RC delay, signal integrity, metal density rules, transistor, and capacitor matching.Strong background with full custom circuit, block, and chip layout using Cadence Virtuoso tools, Layout L/XL, and physical verification tools such as Assura and Calibre.Experience with layout of custom devices (e.g., transistors, diodes, resistors, capacitors, MEM structures).Experience successfully completing tape outs as an owner of major precision mixed-signal IC blocks such as sensor interfaces, PLL’s, serializers, DAC’s, precision regulators, ADC’s.ROIC and pixel experience a plus.Essential Physical/Mental Requirements:Proficiency in use of computers, complex electronic equipment, oral and written communication, interaction with vendors/colleagues, and willingness to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
