Joining our team is a unique opportunity to help rebuild the core of some of our most mission critical processing systems from the ground-up. In this role, you will collaborate with senior leaders and support key initiatives across the technology landscape. You will work closely with stakeholders throughout the organization to understand their plans, assess impacts, and coordinate dependencies, ensuring our technology infrastructure meets the highest standards of efficiency and regulatory compliance. write clear, maintainable, and reusable code and take part in code reviewsCollaborate with engineers, influence, and contribute to technical discussions, architecture decisions and specifications; be a hands-on lead engineer consistently reviewing architecture, designs, quality, and drive re-use and best practiceLead Research and Design (RnD) mini projects used as building blocks and/or blueprints for the mainstream applications design and development; Deliver state of the art solutions and be a hands-on technologistPartner with the UI/UX design team, architects, business analysts and stakeholders situated in multiple regions and time-zones to understand requirements, designing, developing, and delivering applications for mission-critical systems, while co-working with Quality Assurance (QA) team on test automation of new and existing functionalityMentor and direct more junior developersHow You'll Lead:You will play a leading role in a talented software team, providing your guidance and influence to core design and decision making, growing team expertise, lead RnD and component development, actively engaging in design sessions with the global development team, while also partnering with the other engineers on code reviews and pair programming sessionsAs a Java Engineer, you will also partner with the product team, enterprise infrastructure architects and engineers in test to optimize the solution delivery by integrating with appropriate control frameworksPartner with enterprise risk team and production services to ensure continuous adherence to technology policies including technology roadmap compliance, collaborate and maintain clear and open communication with the teams, mentor junior engineers, provide insight, and share experience with entire Engineering organizationSkills You'll Need:Bachelors or Masters (preferred) degree in the field of computer science and/or technologyStrong experience with all Agile software development frameworks and processes, and software design, as well as Java, Spring, Spring Boot, REST API, PostgreSQL or Oracle or other Structured Query Language (SQL) databasesExperience in designing and implementing distributed enterprise applications with high volume and low latency requirements, Unix OS, Unix Shell, scripting, establishing and running DevOps operations; Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications.
