The Department of Neurology at the University of Washington School of Medicine is seeking an outstanding clinical neuromuscular neurologist to work at the University of Washington Medical Center. This is a full-time (12-month service period) appointment at the Assistant Professor (without tenure) rank. This individual will be a member of a busy academic service performing a wide variety of clinical duties including general neurology, muscular dystrophy association/amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, electrodiagnostic, autonomic disorders, and neuromuscular disease clinics as outpatient attending. University of Washington faculty engage in teaching, research, and service.Assistant Professors are eligible for multi-year appointments that align with a 12-month service period (July 1-June 30). Faculty with 12-month service periods are paid for 11 months of service over a 12-month period (July-June), meaning the equivalent of one month is available for paid time off. The base salary range for this position in this title will be $17,790 - $20,203 per month ($213,480 to $242,436 per year), commensurate with experience, discipline, and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination. Our salaries are benchmarked based on the AAMC scale. Other compensation associated with this position may or may not include Startup, Relocation Incentive/Moving Allowance Administrative supplement for a defined administrative role, or Productivity Incentive.The anticipated start date for this position is July 1, 2024.Qualifications

Requirements include:MD or DO or foreign equivalent degree, eligibility for medical licensure in the State of Washington, and certification by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in Neurology and Neuro-Oncology (or eligibility to sit for the United Council for Neurologic Subspecialties accreditation).In order to be eligible for University sponsorship for an H1B visa, graduates of foreign (non-U.S.) medical schools must show successful completion of all three steps of the U.S. Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE), or equivalent as determined by the Secretary of Health and Human Services.Application Instructions
