The Launch and Missile Defense Systems division within Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Systems Engineer/Principal Systems Engineer. We are excited for you to join our team of qualified and diverse individuals. Position Overview:
As a Systems Engineer / Principal Systems Engineer on the ESL/BOA team, you will be responsible for the design, development, documentation, testing, deployment, and debugging of software applications. This includes researching, identifying, and implementing solutions to complex, multi-disciplinary software problems.
Essential Functions:
New feature implementation that allows for smooth integration with pre-existing systems
Software development using Agile Methodology
Utilizing Jira to document bugs and enhancements
Software engineering support for multi-language (C/C++, Python, and Java) and complex software systems
Enhance usability, performance, and maintainability of systems via analysis and bug fixes
Coordinate, integrate, and resolve defects in conjunction with the test team
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in a STEM related discipline and 2 years of experience; Masters Degree and 0 years of experience (Level 2)
Bachelors Degree in a STEM related discipline and 5 years of experience; Masters Degree and 3 years of experience (Level 3)
Experience in multi-language (C/C++, and Python) and complex software systems
Experience Utilizing Jira to document bugs and enhancements
Knowledge of Software development using Agile Methodology
Current active Secret Clearance Required

$87,200 - $130,800
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
