The Manager will partner with Sales, Operations Executive and Finance teams to manage the financial aspects of several key areas of our demand creation activities. These expenditures will exceed several hundred million dollars and are key tools to stimulating sales. The significance of these areas make it critical to accurately and timely report EAI’s financial position and results of operations to senior management and our parent company. You will also support the evaluation and maintenance of EAI’s internal controls.This position will be based out of our Los Alamitos, CA office with the opportunity for a hybrid work schedule.Principle Accountabilities
In addition to the following Epson's policies and procedures, principle accountabilities include, but are not limited to:Manages regular financial reporting within required timelines (e.g., Balance Sheet, Income Statement, etc.) for assigned areas.Manages the accounting for North America activities with special focus in the following areas:Inbound and Outbound Logistics expenseIncentives paid to end users (Rebates)Incentives paid to channel partners (Market Development Funds)Capital investmentEnsures compliance with Epson Financial Accounting Standards and timely and accurate reporting through Epson Consolidation Accounting System and the Epson Management Accounting System.Shared responsibility for managing internal and external audit activities.Shared responsibility for managing and incorporating subsidiary financial activity into the consolidated financial statements, budgets and forecasts for Rebate, Market Development Funds, Rebates and Investments.Manages the selection, implementation and sound operation of financial accounting systems. Includes understanding and management of key hierarchies in SAP directly or through the team.Serve as the main Accounting and Finance liaison with SEC regarding EGMAS management reporting.Business Analysis
Provides analyses and makes recommendations for improvements to business functions and processes.Manages and prepares standard and ad-hoc analyses and reporting to meet customer requirements.Primary responsibility to evaluate all significant contracts for financial and business considerations and managing the financial assessment of proposed contracts.Primary responsibility to manage, analyze and update transfer pricing:Between SEC and EAIEAI and the Latin and Canadian subsidiariesRelationship Management
Responsible for hiring, motivating, evaluating, developing group/department personnel.Provides coaching and mentoring to team members.Advises management and provides recommendations on personnel and problem issues (that require escalation).Builds strong relationships within the organization and Senior Management.Builds strong relationships with counterparts at SEC and at the subsidiaries.Maintains professional relationships with peers in other corporations and outside organizations as needed.Department Management
Operates within budgetary constraints, participates in the development of annual budget forecasts; participates in updating and reconciling operating and budget plans as required.Develops and maintains written departmental standards and procedures.Directly contributes to the development of tactical and annual operating plans, defining goals and objectives for the group.Required Skills & Experience
