Corporate IT Site Reliability Engineer

We are looking for a Systems Engineer to join our growing Corporate IT Team.This is an exciting role and includes a wide set of responsibilities, with the day-to-day focus on the ongoing improvement and maintenance of systems and services within the Organization. This role will report into the Corp-IT System Engineers Manager.The candidate will have experience of working in a Service Desk Environment and the ability to troubleshoot/juggle several issues/tickets at one time while under pressure.The right candidate should have a team mindset, a keen attention to detail, and is essential.The right candidate will require some experience and knowledge of desktop and server operating systems, hardware fault finding, networking, security, and desktop applications used in the organization.Candidates will need to demonstrate initiative, strong problem-solving skills, and also assume responsibility for their work. The successful candidate will need to be organized, comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. They should have a good understanding of deadlines and accountability and be able to provide updates on their projects without being asked. The role has the potential to include overnight and weekend on-call for key production.Responsibilities and Duties:

Installation, configuration and management of operating systems, application software, and system management tools.Administer the Active Directory including Users & Accounts, Group Policies, Directory Schema, Sites & Services, Domains & Trusts and Scripts.Email Administration using web-based tools.Maintain existing and new device/client management systems.Help Manage and monitor the existing Corporate IT systems and infrastructure.Incident/Ticket Management within the Corporate IT Service Desk Queue.Ensures the highest level of systems and infrastructure availability.Receive training & transfer of ownership from other teams to implement and support new products/technologies.Help and support other teams and be an influencer in providing permanent solutions to avoid problems from re-occurring.Plan and implement system automation as required for better efficiency.Collaboration with other professionals to ensure high quality deliverables within organization guidelines, policies, and procedures.Implements warranty and support activities.Advocate and maintain the organization's strict approach to data security.Follower and advocate of the organization principles.Understanding design and maintain the existing Corp-IT Infrastructure.Receive training & handovers from other teams to support new products/technologies.Provide support to the GDS team and be an influencer in providing permanent solutions to avoid problems from re-occurring.Administration and management of the Corp VDI environment.Follow ITIL, including Incident and Change Management process and procedures.Identify areas where the Corp-IT function can be more efficient.Keep up to date with best practices and technologies and implement them in the workplace.Build network/relationships within the organization to be able to help the function and yourself to be more efficient.Mentor and train other members of the team & function.A “can do” attitude and comfortable managing competing priorities to achieve a high level of customer satisfaction.Flexibility around working schedule.Provide on-call support.Qualifications and Skills

Strong working knowledge at systems admin level.In-depth knowledge of:

Operating Systems Windows (Active Directory, DNS, DFS, GPO, RDS, PKI)Virtualization (VMware ESX, Vcenter, vSan)VDI (VMware Horizon, Citrix)Networking (VLANs, Routing, Switching)

Good Knowledge of:

Hardware (Dell, Cisco, Pure, Palo Alto)Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft SQLNetworking Cisco, Palo Alto, Big IP (FW, SDWAN, VLANs, Routing, Switching)Security (Splunk, APM, SIEM)Login/Monitoring (Splunk, Elastic, Prometheus, PRTG, Netbox, IPAM, CMDB)Mattermost, Atlassian

Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.Must be available to work on-call/off-call.Demonstrated ability in defining processes and systems design.Ability to write scripts and convert existing processes into code.Ability to clearly explain technical issues.Create and maintain appropriate documentation and handover for ongoing operations.Degree level qualification in a computer-related subject.ITIL Knowledge and understanding.Microsoft Exchange (MCE).Microsoft SQL (MCE).Experience with automation frameworks (SCCM, Ansible, Nornir, Terraform).GIT Management.Cisco SD-WAN or Cisco Meraki knowledge.Cisco CCNP or CCEI EI certification.Palo Alto Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE).Big IP (Advance Course).Administration experience with Linux-based platforms.
