He or she will have a proven track record of success in developing and delivering high-quality software. The Senior Python Engineer will be responsible for creating and maintaining tools and components used by our scientists to discover new technologies and their practical applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for software development, a commitment to quality, the drive to learn constantly, and a desire to work in a collaborative and supportive environment.Other Expectations
Design for modularity and reuse. Develop robust, scalable, and fault-tolerant solutions. Write user and API documentation and unit tests. Automate the build, test, and deployment of your code.Qualifications
MSCS and minimum 3 years experience or 5 years of relevant work experience. The primary qualification is the demonstrated ability to deliver the above objectives, as proven by results from projects of similar scope and complexity. Have mastered developing within medium and large-scale Python project(s).The following technologies are relevant for the position:Experience with building and publishing Python packages (poetry, PyPi)Experience with Pandas and NumPyExperience with database ORM and migrations (MongoDB, PostgresSQL)Experience with CI/CD systemsExperience with data engineeringFamiliar with deploying applications using KubernetesFamiliar with message-driven architecture (RabbitMQ, MQTT, or similar)Familiar with using FastAPI or similar OpenAPI frameworksFamiliar with at least one cloud provider like AWS, Azure, or GCPExperience with ML frameworks like pytorch or TensorFlow is a plusExperience with the integration of Python and C, C++, or Rust libraries is a plusFor positions requiring access to technical data, Analog Devices, Inc. may have to obtain export licensing approval from the U.S. Department of Commerce - Bureau of Industry and Security and/or the U.S. Department of State - Directorate of Defense Trade Controls.
