The Vice President, Investment Origination will join the New York-based Global Atlantic Investment Office, which manages the firm’s investment account. The hiring team, Structuring and Asset Solutions, focuses on cross-asset strategic deal structuring and execution.
Responsibilities include:
Work with portfolio managers to develop structures to optimize for capital, accounting and tax on assets Global Atlantic acquires.
Understand and reverse engineer public market transactions to understand capitalization for potential investments.
Lead relationships with rating agencies to structure, rate, and capitalize origination assets.
Deep understanding of rating agency criteria across asset classes to develop new models for potential investments.
Develop and manage models for internal and rating agency analysis.
Manage documentation and operational processes for GA on-balance sheet transactions.
Qualifications:
7+ years of relevant work experience in structured products with strong quantitative and modeling skills.
3 years of experience in project finance and/or infrastructure transactions.
Familiarity across structured finance asset classes, including project finance, CLOs, consumer ABS, commercial ABS and real estate.
Experience with structured finance legal documentation.
Flexible individual who is both creative and commercial, and is comfortable working on multiple transactions at once across a variety of assets.
Energetic, inquisitive and a high initiative to take on projects.
Organized with high attention to detail.
Bachelor’s degree.
