Business Intelligence Analyst
This is an unpaid internship. We are seeking a skilled Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transforming data into actionable insights to drive business decisions and strategies. Chicago, Illinois THIS POSITION WILL ENTAIL: Collect, analyze, and interpret large datasets from various sources to uncover insights and trends. Develop methodologies for data collection and ensure data integrity and accuracy. Design and produce comprehensive reports, dashboards, and visualizations to communicate findings effectively to stakeholders. Utilize BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms to create user-friendly and interactive data representations. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business objectives and requirements. Provide actionable insights and recommendations based on data analysis to support decision-making processes. Utilize statistical techniques and predictive modeling to forecast business outcomes, identify opportunities, and mitigate risks. Develop predictive models to anticipate customer behavior, market trends, and operational performance. Identify patterns and correlations within datasets through data mining techniques. Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in business intelligence and analytics. Other duties as assigned. DESIRED SKILLS QUALIFICATIONS: Proven experience as a Business Intelligence Analyst or similar role, with a strong background in data analysis, reporting, and visualization. Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation. Experience with programming languages such as Python or R is a plus. Hands-on experience with BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, QlikView, or similar platforms. Solid understanding of statistical methods, predictive modeling, and data mining techniques. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines effectively. REQUIRED EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field. Master's degree preferred. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Previous internship experience in Finance is a plus, but not required. Certified Analytics Professional (CAP). Bachelor’s degree or master’s in finance or BA. Previous Finance experience.
