The primary responsibility of this role is to lead instruments & process control systems projects to support sites in the US (East Providence, RI; Wilmington, MA; Frankfort, IN; Elgin, IL). The incumbent is to provide leadership for the Life Cycle Management for I&E (Instrumentation and Electrical) / PCT (Process Control Technology) and mentor engineers at the sites above.Major ResponsibilitiesActs as liaison for all non-local operational PCT issues on all 4 RFM sites in the US, for areas such as OT / Cyber Security, MES, Functional Safety, etc.Provides technical oversight and mentorship for less experienced I&E / PCT engineersLead as Project Manager for I&E/PCT projects and / or as PCT Lead for multi-disciplinary projectsApplies instrumentation & process control expertise and state-of-the-art technologies for I&E / PCT capital investment projectsLeads I&E / PCT project teams during all phases of capital investment projects (concept development, estimating, basic engineering, detailed engineering and design), procurement, construction, and start-up of new or modified production facilitiesAccountable for all I&E / PCT aspects of engineering to ensure all project objectives including safety, technical correctness, budget, constructability, schedule, maintainability, and operability are metInterface with other engineering disciplines/departments, customers and vendors/suppliers to ensure successful development and execution of projectsGenerate, review and approve I&E / PCT specifications, drawings and other documentation; assist in compiling construction packagesCoordinate field support, and participate in check out, commissioning and start upAssess the applicability of practices, standards, guidelines, and procedures for the sites in the USGive input for the modification of existing or create new I&E / PCT procedures, standards, and practices to stay current with technology and implement improved methods targeting the needs of the RFM sites.What You Offer

Basic QualificationsBachelor's degree in Electrical or Chemical engineering or equivalent with strong interest in PCT OR systems and at least 6 years of experience in chemical, petrochemical or industrial facilities in I&E / PCT design and engineering or equivalent experience OR;Master's degree in Electrical or Chemical engineering or equivalent with strong interest in PCT OR systems and at least 4 years of experience in chemical, petrochemical or industrial facilities in I&E / PCT design and engineering or equivalent experience OR;PhD in Electrical or Chemical engineering or equivalent with strong interest in PCT OR systems with at least 2 years of experience in chemical, petrochemical or industrial facilities in I&E / PCT design and engineering or equivalent experience.Preferred QualificationsProfessional registration and/or certification as required e.g. in Functional Safety.Knowledge & Skills:Excellent knowledge of PCT documentation, automation validation, quality assurance, etc.;Excellent knowledge of process control strategies and systems; safety systems and industrial control networks.Excellent knowledge of process instrumentation.Knowledge of low voltage electrical systems.Strong computer hardware and software skills.Excellent knowledge of relevant national and international standards in the area of process control, low voltage electrical, and instrumentation.Knowledge of project control skills including project planning, scheduling, cost control, and contract development.Experience in providing field support and participating in check out, commissioning, and start-up of process control installations.Ability to work as a member of cross-functional teams and to participate in multiple projects simultaneously.Strong organizational and interpersonal skills to deal with people at different levels of management, engineering, maintenance, operations, and suppliers of I&E / PCT material and services.Excellent verbal and written skills to communicate with and obtain cooperation from team members.Demonstrated ability to write comprehensive technical and scope documents required for project execution.Willingness and ability to travel 20-40% of time when job assignment dictates.Willingness and ability to work additional hours when job assignment dictates.Willing to pursue advanced education (i.e. Master's Degree); certifications, and training when job assignment dictates.YOUR APPLICATION
