The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the design, implementation, and validation of complex space-grade hardware electronics within the Antenna Team. As a leader, you will manage, develop, and grow your team to deliver results and collaborate with cross-functional teams in the organization. You have a good mix of interpersonal skills expected from a manager and technical acumen expected from an engineer. Your ownership and contributions will include:Career development, team review, and growthDevelop and maintain project plans, budgets, timelines, and resourcesDevelop processes and mechanisms for efficient execution on prioritiesExecute on a HW development process for complex antenna systemsInnovate with your team on challenges unique to KuiperCollaborate with cross-functional teams for complete system integrity and performanceLead and coordinate technical trades in various areas such as PCB development, digital electronics, high-speed serial interfaces, RF hardware and interconnect, reliability, and “design for X”Lead the team developing the hardware for advanced antenna systems in space applicationsExport Control Requirement:Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:Redmond, WA, USABASIC QUALIFICATIONS

* BS degree in electrical engineering or equivalent* 10+ years of industrial experience, especially in board-level analog/digital design* 3+ years of experience in a technical leading role and a management position* 5+ years of experience in high-speed digital design, multi-gigabit SERDES, signal and power integrity* 5+ years of experience using lab equipment, including oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and multi-meters* Experience with advanced CAD tools such as Mentor GraphicsPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

* Master's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent* Experience with the entire NPI process* Experience with developing hardware for space applications* Familiarity with analog electronic fundamentals (transistor circuits, op-amps, filters, etc)* Experience in design, implementation, bring up, and debugging of HW from prototypes to manufacturing* Familiarity with power supply design* Familiarity with developing hardware with complex ASICs.Amazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace. The base pay for this position ranges from $120,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $234,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
