Responsibilities:

The Medical Director is responsible for and is the ultimate authority for the prescribing, dispensing and administration of Methadone/Suboxone in accordance with all applicable federal and state laws and regulations. This includes the altering and termination of Methadone/Suboxone dosages. The Medical Director is responsible for the supervision of other licensed physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, and licensed practical nurses that are working in the facility. The Medical Director is also responsible to ensure that any registered Nurse/licensed practical nurse working in the facility adhere to written protocols for dispensing and administration of medication. The Medical Director is responsible for ensuring that all information obtained during the course of physical examinations, laboratory results and other diagnostic evaluations is fully recorded in all patient records.This includes that all physical examinations are completed, certifying each applicant’s eligibility for opioid use disorder Treatment.Schedule Negotiable. Part-time.Qualifications:

The Medical Director shall be a licensed physician in the State of Maryland. Must have ABPM - Addiction Medicine, ASAM certified. The Medical Director will also have had training or experience in treating persons with an opioid use disorder.
