Audit Senior Manager

In this role, an Audit Senior Manager is charged with marketing, networking, and business development within an area of expertise while maintaining key client relationships and acting as the primary contact for clients regarding complex questions and information.Additionally, the Audit Senior Manager is a part of the firm's leadership team and will oversee all aspects of a client engagement.Advising clients on various economic and regulatory risks within their industryIdentifying financial and non-financial performance measures, formulating and communicating an audit plan, and answering complex questions for clientsMonitoring budgets, addressing budget variances, reviewing work in process, addressing realization issues, and preparing billingsSetting the tone for teamwork by supporting others in their work and delivering on commitments made to the team and clientsSupervising managers and staff on all aspects of the engagement including: the review of work, providing review comments, and management of the staff workloadAccepting responsibility for personal decisions & outcomes with the proven ability to be self-accountable to commitmentsActing as a Career Coach to staff, providing verbal and written performance feedback, and aiding with goal settingRequirementsBachelor’s in accounting or equivalent requiredMaster’s degree in accountancy preferredCPA license required7+ years of hands-on audit experience with a large local, regional, or national public accounting firm preferredPrior supervisory experience requiredAble to identify complex client issues and recommend creative solutionsDelivering legendary service by making each interaction with our audit clients stand outEstablishing personal and networking relationships with clients, prospects, and referral sources through active involvement in industry, civic, and social clubsSharing knowledge with others to facilitate skill development and career advancementBuilding and leading a team effectively to cultivate an environment of trust, respect, and fairnessGreat project management, analytical, interpersonal, oral, and written communication skillsExperience using CCH Engagement and Knowledge Coach research tools or equivalent requiredProficiency in Microsoft Office Products, including Windows, Word, Excel, and PowerPointSaltmarsh, Cleaveland & Gund offers a rich benefits package.
