Interventional Cardiologist, Cath Lab Director, and Interventional Cardiology Section Chief

to join our growing team. Oversee and manage the daily operations of the cardiac catheterization laboratory and interventional cardiology section. Must be Board Certified in Interventional Cardiology and hold an active FL Medical License, with at least five years of experience as an Interventional Cardiologist. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required. UHealth offers a comprehensive benefits package, opportunities for career advancement, research, and more.We offer:Competitive base salaryRelocation assistance if applicableComprehensive benefit packageKey Responsibilities:Oversee and manage the daily operations of the cardiac catheterization laboratory and interventional cardiology section.Develop and implement clinical protocols and quality control standards to ensure patient safety and optimize patient outcomes.Provide patient-centered care and perform complex cardiovascular interventions, including angioplasty, stenting, and other procedures.Evaluate and manage patients with complex cardiovascular diseases in both inpatient and outpatient settings.Perform interventional procedures in the Cath Lab.Participate in STEMI call and in-patient CCU service.Determine which referrals are required based on examination and patients’ needs.Prescribe medical treatment and clinical drugs to patients.Order studies, tests, and ancillary services in patient medical records.Document all services in patient medical records.Review on a regular basis long-term cases that require ongoing medical attention.Consult with leadership and other professionals on staff as needed regarding patient care programs.Assist in the resolution of complaints, requests, and inquiries from patients.Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, including cardiothoracic surgeons, cardiac anesthesiologists, and other specialists.Foster an environment of continuous learning and improvement by participating in and leading educational initiatives.Serve as a mentor and role model to junior colleagues, residents, and medical students.Act as a liaison between the cardiology department and other clinical departments and hospital leadership.Participate in administrative and committee responsibilities as assigned by the Chief of Cardiology.Maintain confidentiality of all patient information and adhere to University and unit-level policies and procedures.Perform other duties as assigned.Qualifications:MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.Board certification in Interventional Cardiology and Cardiovascular Disease.Current Florida medical license and DEA registration.At least five years of clinical experience as an Interventional Cardiologist.Demonstrated excellence in leadership, education, and academic pursuits, including research, teaching, and quality improvement.Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with patients, families, colleagues, and hospital leadership.Perform in a tactful and professional manner, with superior patient engagement skills.Patient safety is a top priority.
