Director-Internal Communications , you'll be crucial in ensuring smooth operations and supporting our diverse team. The Director - Internal Communications develops and executes an internal communications strategy to engage and inform team members across the organization and leads a team to create engaging, inspiring, and informative content that strengthens our culture and advances our strategy. This role serves as a trusted advisor and primary communications partner to S&C Electric Company's President and CEO, responsible for developing the executive communication strategy and day-to-day implementation of messaging to support the company's purpose, vision, mission, and strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Internal Communications Strategy Development:
Spearhead the development and execution of a robust internal communications strategy, ensuring alignment with overarching strategic objectives.Leadership Communications Strategy:
Create and implement a leadership communications strategy in alignment with the company's messaging.Internal Communications Planning:
Lead the internal communication team in defining a communications calendar for critical messages.Objective-Driven Messaging:
Direct the internal communication team in translating business objectives into compelling internal stories.Diverse Communication Campaigns:
Deliver innovative internal communication campaigns considering S&C's team member diversity.Feedback Mechanism Enhancement:
Partner with internal communications management to improve feedback mechanisms.Performance Analytics and Evolution:
Design key metrics to evaluate internal communication campaigns.CEO Communication Oversight:
Manage end-to-end CEO-related communications.Stakeholder Engagement and Collaboration:
Drive clearly defined CEO messages across all channels.Internal Voice Amplification:
Proactively solicit the voice of various internal audiences.Leadership & People Management:
Lead, inspire, and develop a high-performing team.Thought Leadership:
Provide thought leadership and direction to the communications team.Compliance:
Understand and comply with all applicable content standards and company policies.
What you'll Need To Succeed:
Bachelor's degree in Communication, Marketing, English, Business, or a related field.8+ years of demonstrated experience developing senior leadership communication strategies.Expert in writing with extensive experience in storytelling.Experience managing an internal communications team.Strong project management abilities, with superb writing and copyediting skills.Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, listening, and presentation).
Preferred:
Experience working in a B2B companyMaster's degree in Communication, Marketing, English, Business, or a related field.
