This is accomplished through maintenance and promotion of Weber’s trade compliance program – export screening, product classification, country of origin analysis, free trade agreement status, training, record-keeping, resolution of broker/forwarder requests, international supply chain security, conducting audits and risk assessments.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesProvide day to day trade compliance support for export and import and supply chain security activities, including resolution of customs broker and freight forwarder issues, including but not limited to:Broker Entry AuditsAudit and processing of Broker invoices through VIM processAddress and follow up with any inconsistencies on the documentationGather and report financial data as needed related to duties spentDrive implementation of cost savings programs (Duty Drawback, Bonded Warehouse, Foreign Trade Zone) with a focus on Drawback, to ensure recovery of duties for qualifying goodsLead the analysis and investigation of country of origin discrepancies within SAP and develop process to ensure correct data is captured on all compliance documentationHandle HTS product classification, country of origin analysis, valuation, free trade agreement status for new and existing products, including but not limited to:Gather necessary information to make determinations on HTSEnsure proper documentation is on hand for any free trade agreement analysisAnalyze data provided for country of origin determinationMaintain classification, country of origin, free trade agreement, and assists records and databases – with a focus to SAP ERP utilizationSupport internal teams with IPS Ticket Processing to ensure timely progress on new or updated projectsSupport Global Trade Compliance Manager, as needed, to implement trade compliance and international supply chain security policies (import, export, and Customs Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (C-TPAT)Address compliance concerns with risk mitigation strategies in conjunction with Global Trade Compliance ManagerPromote process change regarding international transactions via online and automation tools (AES, ISF, online rulings, templates) for improved compliance and time savingDevelop training and audit programsEstablish reports, tools and materials for publication of ongoing compliance measures and Key Performance Indicators to ManagementAny tasks not specifically listed above that may be required to ensure Compliance with international transactionsEducation and or ExperienceCollege Degree and/or prior experience in US trade complianceKnowledge of US Customs and Export Administration Regulations1 – 3 years experience on import and export issues on a global scale – foreign laws and regulationsExperience with SAP and trade compliance software a plusWeber-Stephen Products LLC is an equal opportunity employer and considers qualified applicants for employment without regard to race, color, creed, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, age, disability, or Vietnam era, or other eligible veteran status, or any other protected factor.
