As the Director of Growth at Checkmate, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing our marketing strategies to drive user acquisition, engagement, and brand awareness. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, leveraging your expertise to craft compelling narratives that resonate with our target audience. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a dynamic and innovative company at the forefront of AI-driven e-commerce.Responsibilities
Develop and Execute Marketing Strategies:
Create and implement comprehensive marketing strategies aligned with Checkmate’s business goals, leveraging various channels such as social media, email, influencers, and partnerships.User Acquisition and Retention:
Drive user acquisition through targeted campaigns while developing and optimizing retention strategies to increase customer lifetime value.Analytics and Performance Metrics:
Utilize data-driven insights to measure and optimize the performance of marketing campaigns, ensuring a positive return on investment.Brand Positioning:
Define and enhance the Checkmate brand through compelling storytelling and messaging that resonates with our Gen Z audience.Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Collaborate with product, sales, and tech teams to ensure marketing initiatives are aligned with overall business objectives and product development.Innovation and Trend Analysis:
Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies, bringing innovative ideas to the table to keep Checkmate at the forefront of the market.We are a startup. This role is truly a grind/hustle role where you will have the autonomy to set the marketing direction but will need to roll up your sleeves and implement that strategy from start to finish. We are a lean team where you will need to be scrappy with limited resources to grow Checkmate to multi-millions of users.Qualifications
Proven Experience:
Minimum of 7 years of experience in growth marketing roles, with a focus on growth marketing, digital marketing, e-commerce, and brand development.Data-Driven:
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and leverage data to make informed marketing decisions.Tech and E-commerce Expertise:
Background in technology and e-commerce platforms or high-growth DTC brands is highly desirable.Strategic Thinker:
Ability to think strategically, providing vision and direction for marketing initiatives that align with business objectives.Leadership Skills:
Proven ability to lead and inspire a high-performing marketing team.Excellent Communication:
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with a talent for crafting compelling narratives.Benefits
