**Welcome to the Societe Generale Careers website.**Data Steward Associate/VPPermanent contract| New York| Innovation / Project / Organization **Data Steward Associate/VP**New York, United States Permanent contract Innovation / Project / Organization ** Responsibilities**Our team is looking to hire a Data Steward Assistant to work along with business partners in the AMER region to ensure Data Management requirements are met. This person will liaise with Domain Data Stewards and Data Steward Assistants to escalate priority Data Management requirements. The position will report to the Data Domain Lead within the Regional Data Management Office (RDMO).The job responsibilities include but are not limited to:* Ensure the adoption and maturing of data management capabilities for the AMER region* Provide oversight to ensure domains are meeting their annual and quarterly requirements on CDE recertification* Ensure all recertification deliverables are completed and approved, including Business Metadata, Lineage, Data Quality Assessments and automating data quality rules in Informatica IDQ* Serve as the expert in data management practices and ensure all data management standards are met for CDEs to ensure it is put under management* Guide the varying departments within the bank on how to approach data management standards* Responsible for raising awareness and knowledge among data domains by coordinating and conducting periodic trainings on data management best practices* Ensure timely completion of Data Quality Scorecards* Responsible for productively challenging domains and ensuring feedback from domains are used to improve overall quality of critical data within the bank* Oversee daily reporting which provide all relevant stakeholders with updates and progress made on CDE deliverables* Responsible for proactively monitoring and measuring the progress made by domains and identifying bottlenecks early in the cycle so that corrective measures can be taken to adhere to the overall timelines.* Manage periodic reporting of sustainability of the business as usual process**Experience Needed*** Five years of professional experience working at a global financial institution focusing on information technology and change management initiatives to enhance business processes and establish deliverables.* Prior experience in data management, change management and/or project management* Background in onboarding, monitoring, and managing Critical Data Elements (including Metadata, Lineage and Data Quality, and Scorecards) to prioritize, streamline, develop, and deliver priorities for data and risk management.**Competencies*** Domain knowledge and prior experience in data management standards* Data management expertise in defining Metadata, Quality and Lineage for critical data elements* Ability to partner with business and technology to identify data flows and golden sources* Ability to identify gaps in data flow of manual processes and controls* Capable of collaboration with technology, operations, and other cross-organizational control functions* Partner with technology to implement improved lineage of critical data elements**Education*** Bachelors degree or U.S. equivalent in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
