Tax Managers are responsible for the management of all phases of tax compliance for assigned clients in a variety of industries. Managers participate in firm administration and leadership, including staff and firm development.Competencies and Position RequirementsDedicated to high-caliber client serviceExcellent project management, analytical, interpersonal, and oral and written communication skillsThrive in a dynamic and collegial work environmentAdvanced knowledge of tax compliance and planning at both the federal and state levelEffectively supervise activities of the engagement teamReview staff and senior work timely and thoroughly to ensure that objectives are achievedProvide seniors and staff with timely, honest, and constructive feedback and serve as a formal and/or informal mentor to staff as appropriateDemonstrate the ability to manage multiple engagements to a successful and efficient completionGenerate, pursue, and assist in closing proposal opportunities with existing and/or potential clientsHighly responsive to the client’s needs and requestsManage the client’s expectations and the day-to-day client relationshipMeet time deadlines while also meeting or exceeding quality requirementsMotivate staff through their professional and technical reputation, enthusiasm, and positive attitudeEducation and ExperienceFive or more years of experience in taxation with a public accounting firmMasters or other form of 150 college credit hours with requisite accounting related courses (Bachelor’s degrees may be considered in some situations)CPA certificate requiredAbility to work a flexible schedule based on business needsHybrid and remote work optionSupportive and collaborative cultureBNN strongly believes in maintaining a healthy balance between work and personal life.
