And more! About the role Senior Leader responsible for oversight of all Facility Maintenance (FM) functions for the Balfour Beatty Communities (BBC) military housing portfolio. Role includes adherence to maintenance and environmental policies and procedures, high quality standards, budget, contracts, capital expenditures. The Head of Facilities Management for BBC Military Housing is responsible for the overall planning, coordination, and execution of facilities management services for military housing units. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring the quality of life for military personnel and their families by maintaining safe, comfortable, and well-managed housing facilities. Leadership of FM Regional Vice President (RVP) team, Regional Facility Directors (RFD) teams. What you'll be doing Establish and review policies and procedures related to facilities management in support of successful community management operations to include audit procedures and ensure compliance of all policies and procedures. Responsible for financial management of the FM team including expense, employee cost, forecasting and other critical financial factors. Budget coordination with SVP and VP(s) of Operations. Coordinate Capital planning with Project Development to ensure capital needs are allocated accordingly. Partnership between BBC Operations (Communities) and Facilities is critical to the success of the properties. The SVP of FM oversees the setting of agreed upon goals, policies, objectives, ensuring the delivery of maintenance services aligns with priorities for maintaining robust occupancy levels and high resident satisfaction. Ensures the safe execution of maintenance activities in accordance with contract requirements and Balfour Beatty Zero Harm safety protocols. Oversee contracts with vendors and service providers for maintenance, repairs, and renovations, ensuring they meet service-level agreements, budgetary constraints, and compliance and regulatory requirements. Who we're looking for Bachelor's degree in facilities management, business administration, or a related field required; Master's degree preferred. Security clearance may be required for certain military housing facilities. 15 years of facilities management and/or residential property management; preferred experience in the military housing industry. Proven experience in facilities management, preferably in military housing or a similar setting. Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent budgeting and financial management abilities. Knowledge of relevant safety and compliance regulations. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively under pressure and in emergency situations. Possession of a valid state-issued driver’s license and safe driving record are required. Typical Physical Demands: Regularly use hands to manipulate tools, equipment, supplies, and office equipment. Frequently stand, reach with hands and arms, climb, balance, and stoop. Sit and stand to do clerical work. Regularly lift and move equipment and supplies up to 75 lbs.
