About The RoleThe Custom Apps team is looking for a strong staff engineer to push our no-code app building capabilities to the next level. You’ll work with highly driven, smart engineers in Rippling, and build world-class products and platforms that enable our users to unleash the potential of Rippling Platform. You’ll have the opportunity to lead greenfield projects from 0 to 1 with high autonomy. This is a high ownership, impact, and visibility role in building a product that will directly impact Rippling’s growth.What You'll DoDevelop high-quality software with attention to detailShip incrementally and continually at high velocityBuild highly flexible and customizable platform that scalesWork with engineers in a highly cross functional teamBecome the in-house expert on Rippling customers and competitionQualifications7+ years of professional experience as a software engineerExpertise in building complex distributed services with high availability and strict SLAsStrong CS fundamentals, and knowledge of architecture and common design patternsExperience in one or more backend languages: (Python/Ruby/golang, etc.) and web frameworks (Django, RoR, Spring, etc.)Experience building large-scale distributed systems, such as high-volume SaaS environmentsAbility to thrive in a dynamic environment by identifying areas of impact and independently pursuing them, able to drive projects from 0 to 1A track record of influencing and enabling forward-thinking technology decisions across a wide organizationExcellent ability to communicate complex technical ideas with clarity and precision in written and verbal modesAdditional InformationRippling is an equal opportunity employer.
