Sr. Software Quality Assurance Engineer II (hybrid)

You will be responsible for testing the software in an AWS environment. We are looking for a strong technical candidate with significant hands-on experience and skills who can collaborate with like-minded individuals in a fast-paced goal-oriented environment.Analyze feature requirements and design specifications to create test plans and test cases, execute and validate the test results; ensure the product meets all feature requirements.Review epic overviews to create detailed test strategy documents.Create, debug and fix automated unit, integration and end to end tests.Create a robust daily, smoke, acceptance and regression test repository.Discover, debug, document and verify software anomalies.Evaluate test results and track feature status using internal tools/processes.Escalate critical issues and status updates in a timely manner.Address queries from Product Owners, Scrum Team Members and the Client Servicing team with regards to our software products in a timely manner.Identify capacity bottlenecks, suggest & implement solutions for process improvement.Responsible for software risk identification, escalation & mitigation.Provide QA metrics as required.Be the scrum team point of contact from a quality assurance perspective.Contribute to the training of new hires.Work collaboratively with a global team.QualificationsEssentialMinimum of a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or Data Science.Minimum of 5 - 8 Years' experience working on AWS SaaS cloud-based projects on an Agile software development team.Full-stack development experience using TDD with strong debugging and performance tuning acumen.Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with C#, C++, Java, Python or other object-oriented programming language.Strong knowledge and hands-on experience of data management tools including but not limited to SQL/R and Python.Efficiency in solving challenging problems with personal accountability for meeting organization goals.Detail-oriented with excellent verbal and written communication skills.Experience working with global teams.DesirableMaster's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or Data Science.AWS CertificationsKnowledge of insurance/reinsurance.Experience working with large datasets.
