Commercial Banking Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) has a crucial role as a strategic partner to Capital Markets leaders, business management and senior stakeholders across Corporate Finance by providing quality analysis and reporting that generate insights into business trends and economics. The Capital Markets Group is a subsegment of the Commercial Bank and provides Capital Markets and M&A products and services to our clients.The Finance Segment/Region Liaison will be responsible for driving Capital Markets-wide deliverables across earnings, revenue / expense/ balance sheet resource analyses and competitor reporting, as well as coordination of projects to support Capital Markets covering all businesses and functions. This role will report to the CFO of Capital Markets and National Settlements.Job Description

Lead financial forecasting and budgetingManage the annual budgeting and monthly/weekly forecasting processDevelop and maintain fee forecasting toolsLead personnel planning including coordination with Human Resources liaison to ensure forecast aligns with hiring plansManage revenue/fee share process and related data management for Capital MarketsLead the quarterly earnings process for Capital MarketsOwn delivery of earnings materials due to Investor Relations and other Corporate Finance stakeholdersDrive quarterly earnings analysis and any variance commentaryLead presentations to Head of Capital Markets and CFOs to prepare for earnings callDrive relevant analysis to aid Business Heads/Managers in strategic decision makingAnalyze profitability drivers and work with CFO to create recommendations to Head of Capital Markets and other business managersProvide in-depth competitor analysisSupport merger and acquisition (M&A) or other ad-hoc growth initiatives through financial analyticsManage business performance reporting and communicationsCoordinate weekly, monthly, quarterly and ad-hoc reporting on business performanceEnsure consistent delivery of data that supports reportingDevelop materials for business communicationsProvide governance of financial reporting/forecasting hierarchiesPartner with Strategy, Investor Relations, Finance and Business functions on various reporting and analytical needs for financial dataBasic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (Finance, Economics, Math, Accounting, etc.)Minimum 2 or more years of experience in financial support rolesPreferred Qualifications

Knowledge of Commercial Banking & Capital MarketsFinance experience in the financial services industryProficiency in Excel, Essbase / Smart View, SAS desiredAble to multi-task effectively, be a self-starter, and be able to handle stress with composure and professionalismStrong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interface with many levels of managementStrong analytical and critical thinking skills with an understanding of the concept of materiality (i.e., knows when information is relevant)Ability to proactively manage issues and assignments and move work forward with limited directionCapable of managing changing priorities with ease and poiseExempt Status:
