Overview:

We are looking for a highly skilled Cost Accounting Analyst with expertise in Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE) and Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) to join our finance team. This role involves performing detailed cost analysis, reporting, and data integration between financial systems, specifically leveraging OBIEE and Oracle EBS to provide accurate financial insights. The successful candidate will work closely with finance, accounting, and IT teams to enhance reporting capabilities, streamline processes, and ensure data accuracy.Responsibilities:Cost Accounting & Analysis:Perform in-depth cost accounting analysis, including variance analysis, cost allocation, and profitability assessments.Analyze production costs, material costs, and overhead expenses to ensure accurate product costing and profitability reporting.Provide financial insights and support cost control measures.OBIEE Report Development:Develop and maintain OBIEE reports and dashboards to provide real-time cost accounting and financial data.Customize and enhance existing OBIEE reports to align with evolving business needs and cost reporting requirements.Create interactive reports that support decision-making across finance and operations teams.Oracle EBS Integration:Integrate Oracle EBS modules (Costing, Financials, Inventory) with OBIEE to ensure accurate and timely cost data reporting.Work with IT and database teams to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from Oracle EBS into OBIEE for analysis.Troubleshoot and resolve any data integration or reporting issues between OBIEE and Oracle EBS.Budgeting & Forecasting:Support budgeting and forecasting processes by providing accurate cost data, variance reports, and financial projections.Collaborate with management to prepare cost forecasts and support budget planning for cost centers and projects.Data Validation & Integrity:Ensure data accuracy and integrity in OBIEE reports by validating data from Oracle EBS and other sources.Develop controls and checks to identify and resolve discrepancies in financial data.Variance Analysis:Analyze cost variances, including material, labor, and overhead costs, and identify areas of inefficiency or overspending.Provide recommendations to improve cost structures, reduce variances, and enhance overall financial performance.Financial Reporting & Compliance:Prepare financial reports and presentations for management and key stakeholders, highlighting cost trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.Ensure compliance with internal financial policies, GAAP, and other relevant regulations.Process Improvement:Identify opportunities to streamline cost accounting processes and improve efficiency within the finance department.Assist in automating reporting workflows using OBIEE and other financial tools.Cross-Functional Collaboration:Work closely with operations, finance, and IT teams to ensure accurate cost data and reporting.Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support strategic decision-making.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.7+ years of experience in cost accounting or financial analysis, preferably in a manufacturing or service-based environment.Proficiency in OBIEE report development and experience working with Oracle EBS, especially in Costing and Financials modules.Strong understanding of cost accounting principles, including standard costing, variance analysis, and cost allocations.Advanced knowledge of Excel and financial analysis tools.Solid experience with SQL and database querying for financial reporting.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.Compensation:

$70 - $80 an hour
