The
Medical Laboratory Science Program
seeks to develop a pool of candidates for possible temporary/nontenured faculty to teach. Temporary/nontenured faculty are appointed to teach one to four courses (lecture section, lab sections, and/or both) per semester. Teaching appointments are based upon student demand on a semester-by-semester basis. Eligibility for annual reappointment is contingent upon satisfactory performance during the term period, in addition to continuity of funding and program need.
Successful candidates will teach at the San Marcos campus, hybrid, and/or online depending on the needs of the academic program. This posting is for the Summer 2024, Fall 2024, Spring 2025, and Summer 2025 semesters.
Please note that this posting is not intended to convey that such a need currently exists. Applicants applying for a pool faculty position will be available to the departmental search committee for consideration in case the need arises.Required Qualifications:
Specific educational requirements vary by position, but a minimum of a master’s degree in MLS/CLS, Public Health, Healthcare Administration, Health Sciences, Molecular Pathology, Biology, Chemistry, Biotechnology, Education, or related degree from an accredited university. MLS/MT or categorical certification or equivalent is required.Preferred Qualifications:
Previous teaching experience is preferred.Application Procedures:
