to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within our Test and Evaluation organization. This role is located in

Redondo Beach, CA.In this role, you will be performing a variety of duties assisting mechanical engineers in the development of mechanical and electromechanical engineering designs, tests, fabrications, modifications, assemblies, and components. This includes devices, fabrication, and assembly of new or modified mechanical components or assemblies. The selected candidate also will set up and test complete prototype units and subassemblies under operational conditions. This will include fabricated and routed various hydraulic lines stainless steel, and flex lines (cutting, bending, tube flaring, assembly).Responsibilities include:Performing the above work items from schematics, engineering drawings and written or verbal instructions on a daily basis.Load train assembly and various structural testing devices to measure push/pull force and stress.Utilizing thermocouples, pressure transducers, and flow meters to record and help characterize air flow performance.Vacuum bagging and bonding of testing components.Basic Qualifications:High School Diploma or equivalent plus 4 years' experience in the use of hydraulics and composites.Proficient in the use of precision measuring instruments.Experience in handling chemicals such as Isopropyl Alcohol and Acetone.Adept at reading drawings, process specifications, and work order instructions.Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance or higher.Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Program Access (PAR) within a reasonable period, as determined by the company to meet its business needs.Preferred Qualifications:AA degree or other two-year technical degree.Demonstrated technical knowledge in manufacturing operations and procedures as it pertains to mechanical assembly, harnessing with a high attention to detail.Familiarity with Northrop Grumman Corporation processes.Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office to supplement work order and other data requirements.Comprehension with reading drawings, process specifications, and work order instructions.Experience working in clean room environments.Proficient in the use of precision measuring instruments.Active DoD Secret clearance or higher.Salary Range:

$62,900 - $104,900The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
