The Associate Dean is expected to be both a catalyst and guiding force as the College plans and develops new and major research initiatives, such as thematic and interdisciplinary research efforts or other in-house or extramurally funded research-related initiatives, including those initiated by fellow colleges and programs.Minimum QualificationsAn earned doctorate in education, counseling, or a closely related field;An outstanding research record commensurate with Associate Professor or full Professor;Strong team leadership and communication skills, excellent interpersonal abilities;Familiarity with federal grant finance and compliance issues;Previous sustained administrative experience to direct research operations of an organization;Highly refined verbal and written communication skills.Preferred QualificationsDemonstrate success in attaining large research external funding and in building collaborative teamsDemonstrated success in managing extramural fundingDemonstrated success in developing and enhancing relationships with a variety of internal and external constituents, including advisory boardsThe ability to elevate the research enterprise of the College of Education in Equity, Access, and Advocacy;Innovative and creative ideas for success in a changing landscape of research funding;Experience managing large research programs such as centers, departments, and large and complex research grants.Position InformationWorking Title: Associate Dean for Research and Community EngagementPosition Number: 001267Recruitment Salary Range: Commensurate with education and experienceFLSA: ExemptAppointment Type: Permanent - Full-timeTenure Track: YesFTE: 40 hours/week, 12 monthsOrganizational Division: Dean's Office - College of EducationOpen Until Filled: YesDate Position Available: August 2024Contact:
