is hiring a

Counsel - Litigation

to support general litigation, including affirmative litigation, and government investigation matters for the UHS Legal Department.Key Responsibilities include:Provide assistance and counseling to facilities concerning bankruptcy, patient billing matters, collections matters, consumer protection matters, landlord-tenant matters, and physician disputes.Provide general support to facilities in responding to various document requests, administrative agency requests, subpoenas, garnishments, and litigation/judicial proceeding matters.Provide advice and counsel to company officers and executives in connection with managed care and class action litigation matters.May retain, manage and assist outside counsel for legal matters as needed.May assist in due diligence examinations in connection with company acquisitions.Provide advice and counsel to Risk Management and Managed Care Systems functions of the company.May assist with eDiscovery matters including preservation, eDiscovery strategy and vendor management.Handle patient billing issues and physician disputes.

Qualifications
