is hiring a

Counsel - Litigation

to support general litigation, including affirmative litigation, and government investigation matters for the UHS Legal Department.Key Responsibilities include:Litigation Management

– Oversee and manage all phases of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, trial preparation, and settlement discussions.Government Investigations

– Lead the company’s response to federal, state, and local government investigations, ensuring timely and thorough compliance with inquiries, subpoenas, and regulatory enforcement actions.Strategic Counsel

– Provide legal advice and guidance to internal stakeholders on litigation risk, dispute resolution, and the impact of government investigations on business operations.Cross-Functional Collaboration

– Partner with internal teams such as compliance, operations, and risk management to develop litigation strategies that align with business objectives.External Counsel Management

– Manage relationships with outside counsel, ensuring efficient and cost-effective handling of legal matters.Dispute Resolution

– Participate in alternative dispute resolution efforts, including mediation and arbitration, to minimize litigation where possible.Consumer Protection Litigation

– Manage all consumer protection litigation on behalf of the company ranging from patient billing, liens on patient accounts and pending class actions matters in this space.

Qualifications
