Develop and maintain applied engineering tools required for aerodynamic and performance analyses, design, and testAerodynamic design of unmanned air vehicles/missiles at conceptual, preliminary, and detail design maturitiesAerodynamic analysis of unmanned air vehicles, using both low and high order methodsStability and control analysisAircraft performance modeling and simulationAerodynamic loads generationREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

BS or higher degree in Aerospace EngineeringStrong programming skills in higher-level languages (MATLAB, Python) in a version-controlled environment (preferably git) and comfortable with low-level languages (C, C++, Fortran)Tools development experience with established development roadmap, release schedules, and test procedures. UI/UX experience to promote adoption for non-expert user base through code readability, documentation of theory, and usage with examplesExperience implementing physics-based problems in computational framework using efficient numerical methods (e.g., vectorization, factorization, parallelization)Understanding of fluid mechanics, aerodynamics, and flight dynamicsExperience preparing formal documentation (i.e., specifications, test procedures, technical reports)Passion for defending the United States and her alliesBe able to obtain and hold a U.S. Top Secret security clearancePREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Minor in computer science or other computational engineering experienceExperience with aircraft sizing and configuration trade studies, including aerodynamic design, shaping, and multidisciplinary design analysis and optimization (MDAO)Experience with transonic and supersonic flow regimesExperience with a variety of aerodynamic analysis techniques including hand calculations, vortex lattice methods, panel methods, and computational fluid dynamics (CFD)Experience with aircraft performance analysis and predictionsTest experience including data acquisition, data analysis, and project coordinationAbility to obtain and hold an active U.S. Secret security clearanceAnduril is an equal-opportunity employer committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace.
